{PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR THE LIST OF MY AVAILABLE E-BOOKS} I've always enjoyed storytelling, ever since I was a child. My love for storytelling has evolved from hand-drawn comic strips, to creating hand-puppets - "Meemies and Fluffies" - for my younger brother and sisters' morning puppet show, to writing stories in longhand in spirals armed with only a Penmate pen while battling a stiff hand and dreaming of a day when I'd finally own a typewriter. Today, in my peaceful Southern California home near the mountains, I can't go a day without my computer and I now enjoy storytelling via my e-books, specializing in mystery, drama, Young Adult and paranormal romance. If you've read one of my books and like them, please leave a review, good or bad, and add me as a favorite author {a single click on a button to your left is all it takes}. Reflective Moments

Rory stood in the kitchen carefully cutting up some fresh fruit. The expression on his handsome face was not a happy one. He was deeply troubled, and he didn’t really know how to cope with it. This was disposition was alien to a man who rarely cared about anything or anyone enough to be troubled.

But he was quickly learning to care, all right. Oh yeah. He was.

His fingers were still shaking, but he tried to ignore it. The full gravity of what he’d done attempted to surface, but he squelched it repeatedly. He didn’t want to face reality—at least, not yet.

He forced himself to focus on his task. He needed to think about something pleasant, so he thought about the fruits he was busy slicing up. He recalled how she loved melons and grapes sprinkled with fresh squeezed orange juice. Perhaps having something to eat, and something in her stomach, could help them both regain some semblance of sanity.

In the past, he’d seen her sneak a bite or two of his snack when she thought he wasn’t looking. The ecstasy on her little face told him this treat would make her happy. At least, that was what he hoped.

As he prepared this light, healthy meal of asparagus rolled in lean ham, bread-n-butter sweet pickle slices, crackers, and fresh fruit salad, he had a chance to rationalize his irrational behavior. He didn’t want to admit it, but it bothered him immensely. He desperately needed to find a way to make it stop.

He was still in shock, to say the least. The events earlier went beyond anything he’s ever known. He’s never had to make a woman want to be with him before and he never had to work as hard to seduce them as he had to do with Maddy, either. Yeah, it was a conceited thing to think, but it was the truth. It was also how it’s always been—up until she came along. Women have always spoiled him. They’ve never refused him anything he wanted. Not even his over-doting mother.

Then along came Miss Madelaine C. Croft. She made him feel things he’s never bothered to feel before, and it was as if he’d lost all control over his emotions. They now seem to rebel against his will. He felt completely lost, and for the very first time in his life, he felt a strong sense of helplessness, perhaps even desperation.

Whatever it was, it had definitely grown during the time she cared for him, long before that surprising moments in his shower when she tended to his more baser needs. Perhaps his evolving emotions were what brought on this miracle, but along with it came an emotional state that was entirely alien to him. The miracle, he liked. The emotions that piggybacked on it? Not so much. It left him feeling uncertain for the very first time in his life, and that his life would now change. There just was no turning back.

Was he suffering the so-called Nightingale Syndrome? He wasn’t sure. The four care providers before Maddy never stayed longer than a month tops. Maddy, on the other hand, had only been with him a month and a half and without even trying, she’d turned his world upside down and inside out.

    This miraculous healing
