This meditation guide is only about 20 pages long or so, and can be read by most people in less than two hours. It is not some grand philosophical treatise as much as it is a short and to the point guidebook. This technique can be learned by anyone, and it is neither religious nor sectarian in nature. Anyone, whether young, old, rich or poor can benefit from this technique. It does not require you to change your current religious beliefs, nor does it require much of your time. Just a few minutes per day are all that is necessary to cultivate the many benefits that meditation has to offer.

What is Meditation?
The word meditation can mean different things to different people. To some, it is a way to become in touch with god or gods. To others, it is merely a relaxation technique. Some people claim to gain supernatural powers through meditation. Let me make this clear: other people are welcome to do as they wish, but the meditation that you are about to learn has nothing to do with any of the above. The practice that you are about to learn is not religious in nature: people of any religion can use this technique without giving up or compromising their current beliefs. While the technique that I am about to teach to you can be relaxing, that relaxation is a side effect and is not the main purpose of the meditation.
So then, what exactly is the main purpose? The main purpose of the meditation that you are about to learn is to gain better control over your life. Paradoxically, this is done by learning to let go of and refrain from attaching yourself to every thought, feeling, or sensation that you have. This will be explained in much further detail shortly.
