Jake's Revenge

About this ebook
Jake gathered a buckskin shirt, leggings and moccasins that his friend whiskers had left for him to change into when he bathed in the lake. He carried his change of clothing and sneaked through the campground stealthily wanting to avoid any attention to him. His hope was to reach Yani before any of the other tribe members saw him.
When he arrived at the edge of the lake, he stood back checking out the scene below. The moon cast a bright light across the shimmering water giving him a clear view of Yani floating on the water with her face turned toward the brilliant ray of stars overhead.
She had undressed and he sucked in his breath seeing her perfectly shaped tanned body clearly outlined by the sparkling water. Her breasts stood firm and erect and his mouth watered wanting to taste both. His body trembled as he thought how it would feel to place his hands around her slim waist and then to move them to where her legs parted.
When Jake walked a little closer, he placed his clean clothing on the ground and slipped off everything he wore until he stood buck naked in the semi dark atmosphere. He made his way slowly to the water and slipped beneath the current as he headed in the direction where Yani floated with her eyes closed.
Jake reached her and rose from the water placing his hands on her waist and pulling Yani into an upright position. He gathered her close in his arms and pressed her breasts tightly against his chest while using his leg to explore her hidden mystery beneath the water.

Chapter One
Sagebrush tumbled across the dry plains stirring up a choking dust that lingered in the air. Above, the breaking dawn looked a deep blue color mingled with pink hues resembling an artist’s brush strokes on a canvas painting. There wasn’t a cloud in sight making Jake come to the conclusion they weren’t going to get a break from the blistering heat. He couldn’t figure why the hot, dry weather was dropping down onto the rocky valley without as much as a warning. For such an early hour, the heat felt sweltering.
Jake’s thoughts returned to the present. This looked like it was going to be a banner year for him, even with the hot weather settling in so early. He and his men were driving a herd of cattle across the rugged trail of the Utah territory. It was May 1853 and Jake figured he had accomplished more in his twenty-eight years than most men had that hung out in the town of Salt Lake City.
All through his school years in Boston, one thought remained embedded in his head. He pictured himself living the life of a frontier man in the old west. The newspaper stories he’d read and the stories he had heard romanticized the gun toting shootouts and the rugged west for Jake. Back then, he couldn’t contain the excitement just thinking about changing his lifestyle. He took courses in school dealing with agriculture and the running of a cattle ranch to help him attain his dream.
About six years after leaving school, Jake planned to venture out west and use some of the skills he’d learned. Seeing his determination, Jake’s wealthy parents decided to give his sister Elizabeth and Jake a sizeable stake to start a life of their own. Jake, being the adventurous type, took the money the elder Carson’s offered and bought a ticket from a stage line to travel west from their home in Boston. Elizabeth had stayed behind to be near her parents and opened a small dress making shop catering to the wealthy women of Boston’s society.
As Jake had journeyed across the barren land in the rickety old stagecoach, he found he had doubts about what he was doing. He wondered if he had enough knowledge of starting and running a cattle ranch. As soon as uncertainties filled his head, he would push them aside and find he had a new strength filling him. He had to succeed, not wanting to return to Boston as a failure.
Jake had traveled west to the Utah territory and fell in love with the rugged landscape, deciding this was as far as he was going. He discovered that this part of the country was ideal to ranch
