About this book …
This book is written for those who have suffered, are suffering or who have known anyone who has suffered from abuse, pressures, and rejection in relation to weight and beauty. These abuses can be direct, indirect, physical, verbal, non-verbal, imposed by society, family, spouses, and even yourself. I truly believe in my mind and in my heart that we are all beautiful and truly deserving of love, regardless of our physical conditions.
This book brings important information into the open about a very sensitive subject. Awareness is the initial foundation for change, followed by the act of caring. Perhaps in that, the reader will change how they think and feel, thereby positively changing themselves and those around them in the short and long term. I pray that this information prevents another person from losing their self-esteem, and themselves, in a sea of negative and deceiving influences.
I purposefully did not use a lot of science or studies, as these often change, and this is not a textbook. I wrote this book using real experiences, with the input of real practitioners who care, and listen and facilitate effective solutions. Observation of positive change is my science, and the advice given may be used right away to assist in overcoming the difficulties that may be blocking your happiness and fulfillment.
To your Evolution!

Alice Doesn't Live in a Mirror
Most people are familiar with the stories behind Alice in Wonderland, a young girl coming of age and learning of the many changes that will take place in her life. Women, in particular, have many psychological changes taking place in their minds as well as their bodies.
Part of this is the way they perceive themselves and the world around them. Youth, beauty, thinness are the driving forces and top priority in many societies throughout time. Despite all that may be learned in early childhood, these same lessons and values seem to go out the window as young women nearly kill themselves to be part of a perceived elite group of individuals who are supposed to have all the benefits of life.
