INTRODUCTION
Christopher Hitchens was a renowned journalist and masterful orator. As his career progressed, however, he became perhaps better known for his views on religion, being an outspoken and confirmed atheist.
Hitchens appeared in many debates and could argue like no other. One of the most articulate people in modern times, it is easy to see why so many people were drawn to his regular debates, whether they opposed or supported his views.
One of the most compelling aspects of Hitchens’ character was that he was never one to pull any punches; he spoke his mind at all times and wasn’t afraid to speak out on a wide variety of topics, often in the face of severe adversity.
I myself am a great admirer of Hitchens’; he was an inspiration to many ‘closet’ atheists and his death in 2011 was a sincere loss to the world.
This book brings together some of the best of Hitchens’ opinions on a variety of topics.
