A little sweet and predictable - of course Kara had a crush on him from way back, of course he noticed her and Edie's efforts to improve her looks and more importantly her self-confidence. And that sweet con-man of a kid was great. The complications with the villain were good - I'm half-sorry for Angela and half not at all (she chose her course!). But she did, sort of, in a limited way, redeem herself. And Jimmy is ridiculously blind - even more than the usual man-afraid-of-commitment thing in romances. It's a good thing Kara did stumble into trouble, or he might not have figured it out yet! Good story - it's one of those that sink into the background of my mind and just stay there. The tapestry is well-woven; it doesn't fluff and shred away like most romances, it's solid. I like.
