Why You Need Friends
The Desire To Belong
Companionship is more than a desire driven by loneliness; it is a basic human need!
We are social creatures, and we need to belong to some form of social order to feel complete.
Nothing says what this social order has to be; it can be centered on a religion, a political system, or a love of chocolate ice cream. The glue that holds the tribe together is not as important as the existence of the tribe.
This need for companionship is why humans crave contact with other humans. We need friends, and a lack of friendships will create feelings of sadness and loneliness.
Sure, a person can get used to a lonely existence, but it will never feel natural because it will always feel like something is missing.
Anyone would get lonely at the prospect of spending every day alone.
We can attempt to ignore it or numb it with drugs, but the sadness and loneliness will continue to haunt us.
The only way to satisfy nature, and prevent obscene credit
