About this ebook

Melting His Heart

Never stay in one place too long.
These are the words Brock Parker lives by. Roaming the world to save avalanche victims keeps the search-and-rescue patrolman from getting too close to anyone. The resort ski town of Aurora is no different. Until Brock meets Anya Petrova. The Alaska native needs someone to train her dog. Who better than the man who works wonders with his canine rescue team? Haunted by a family tragedy, Brock doesn't think he's anyone's hero. But Anya refuses to believe that. And when she shows her true mettle in the face of breathtaking danger, Brock realizes what he'll risk for the woman whose love has healed his heart.

The story was good but the writing was lacking. Anya and her relationship with the Lord seemed as more of an afterthought than an integral part of the story. Same with Brock. Don't like to be too critical but not sure I would recommend this one.

This is book two in this Alaskan Wilderness Series and it can easily be read as a stand alone, but it does take place in the same Alaskan town as book one, and some of the characters from that book will be in this one. I loved the setting, the resort ski town of Aurora, Alaska. Here you meet Brock, who is only in town to help the search-and-rescue patrolman get dogs trained to find avalanche victims. Brock never sets down roots anywhere, but that was until he met Anya Petrova, the local girl who makes a good cup of coffee at the Inn. Both these people have hurt in their past they need to let go of and deal with. Anya will come to help Brock with the dogs and from there it is just a matter of time before these two realize the love they have for each other. I really liked Brock and his crazy socialization skills he put his dogs through. And the rapport between Anya and Brock was fun to read about. A good second book in this series.
