A tribal old man, after the demise of his beloved wife considered an age old giant mango tree as his lone friend in the world. Unfortunately, to get a job for his unemployed son on whose income his family depended, he had to fell this vast tree. The story describes the pain and agony of the old tribal in course of murdering his only friend in the world.
