      When we first heard about online petitions, our eyes lit up. Here was our change to change the world, and help empower people. The YouSign.org petition platform initially started as a PhD project.

      However, in just a few months’ time, many users have created an account with our organization and started to initiate, sign and share the petitions. The site has been launched internationally and also received an enhanced mobile version, to meet the demand of the large amount of users who want to keep up with the latest news on their mobile device.

      Our petition platform provides a hands on approach: we have worked closely with each user that has initiated a campaign, improving the text where needed, establishing the correct institution / people in power that can make the change, creating a special flyer which was posted on social media as well as recommending other ways in which the petition can be promoted.

      Last but not least, we have made sure that each petitions has reached its intended target. In the meantime, due to the high number of users that are determined to fight animal cruelty and improve the welfare of the animals on a global scale, we have launched a new website dedicated solely to these topics – YouSignAnimals.org

      The YouSign.org organization currently hosts over 5,000 petitions, with over 6,5 million signatures. Furthermore, about 1 million users have created an account on our website.

      During this period, we have gained invaluable knowledge and experience on how a good campaign to help animals in distress should be, starting from the way a petition should be written and finishing with the best and efficient methods in which the cause should be promoted to raise as much awareness as possible.

      The purpose of this present e-book is to pass this knowledge on to all animal lovers out there that are interested in making a change. We have carefully selected the most important information you should be aware of when starting a campaign to help the voiceless.

      This e-book contains information about how to correctly report animal cruelty online, how to write a petition and what the best channels to promote it are. At the end, we have hand-picked a selection of tips and tricks which you will find extremely useful during the course of your campaign.
