About this ebook

In Secrets of the Natural Athlete you will learn that there is a body motion in almost every sport or physical activity that a gifted athlete performs intuitively, but is unseen by those watching. Even coaches, trainers, and instructors can’t identify it.

Now this secret can be yours.

Learn how natural athletes engage their entire body in an efficient, fluid, and seamless flow of motion, resulting in what appears to be effortless power, control, and grace. This unseen dynamic motion and balance is what makes the greatest athletes stand out from the rest, however, this unique motion is NOT exclusive to top athletes. It can be learned by anyone, and it can be seen in all graceful or natural motion - from dancers to martial artists, to a waving flags, to cracking whips. Babies use this same motion to roll over in their crib, or when learning to crawl. Everyone is born with the ability to perform this motion. We do it naturally, and as we grow up and become one-side dominant, we lose it, triggering the demise of our athleticism.

Secrets of the Natural Athlete (and how they can be yours)

    Foreward

I am the CEO and chairman of a high-tech company in southern California and I have four children who play tennis. I am not a tennis coach nor have I ever played the sport growing up.  I played soccer as a child and eventually I was an All-American player in college.  Twenty years ago I coached soccer at top universities such as Harvard, UC Berkeley and the University of Denver. I had a great plan to train my kids and develop them into great soccer players. So when they told me that they wanted to focus on tennis and not soccer, it was a hard pill to swallow.  But I want them to follow their dreams.

Since I didn’t know anyone in the Tennis world, I looked online to find the best rated coaches, particularly those who coached the best players. I met with many and my kids started to get some good training from a local college coach and a few others. I found myself sitting and watching them train for an hour here and an hour there and then going home to try and replicate what we learned for that day. No two coaches trained the same way, so it was up to us to figure whose forehand, backhand and serve techniques were the best to learn. The growth was good but never consistent. The frustrations piled up and the joy of playing started to take a backseat to hours and hours of misguided training, most of which came from me.

I kept looking for the best tennis instructional approach for my kids.

After reviewing countless articles, books and YouTube videos, I came across Jack Broudy, who has trained some of the top tennis players in the game today and who has a unique approach to teaching the sport.  His emphasis is on the beauty of the game, the joy of playing, and the science of the strokes.

I met with Jack and decided to sign on to his online school of tennis.  It was the start of my journey with his amazing instructional video lessons, which have given me the knowledge and tools to teach my children.

The simplicity of his step-by-step learning based on his decades of study of science and math completely took me by surprise.  The
