Rachel Kaplan

Rachel Kaplan is professor of environmental psychology in the School of Natural Resources and Environmand professor of psychology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She has for more than a quarter of a century played a key role in the field of environmental psychology, and has co-authored three books, including The Experience of Nature (Cambridge, 1989). Stephen Kaplan is professor of psychology and professor of computer science and engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He has for more than a quarter of a century played a key role in the field of environmental psychology, and has co-authored three books, including The Experience of Nature (Cambridge, 1989). Robert L. Ryan is an award-winning landscape architect who recently completed his doctoral dissertation on people's attachmto natural areas.
