    Detective ‘Cadillac’ Holland left a career as an intelligence operative to join the Louisiana State Patrol in order to find the solution to his father’s disappearance in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Detective Holland will also discover Federal investigations into a rap music label and a storage locker of missing firearms, a link between his canine suspect and a dog fighting ring, and uncover the blackmailing of a famous Hollywood actress. Most surprising of all are the unexpected clues Detective Holland finds to his own cold case.
    It seems everyone has a secret in post-Katrina New Orleans and Detective Holland has his hands full looking for a solution which will keep his promise to “reach a conclusion in line with everyone’s perception of justice.”

    H. Max Hiller's first taste of New Orleans was as a cook on Bourbon Street at the age of seventeen. His resume now includes many of New Orleans' iconic dining and music destinations. These jobs have provided a lifetime of characters and anecdotes to add depth to the Detective Cooter 'Cadillac' Holland series. The author now divides his passions between writing at his home overlooking the Mississippi River and as a training chef aboard a boat traveling America's inland waterways, always living by the motto "be a New Orleanian wherever you are."
