I love helping people get more business and online exposure online in popular search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo. Local search marketing has always been a passion of mine. I’ve always liked the idea that smaller businesses without huge marketing budgets can compete against their bigger competitors on the street simply by research and some sweat equity. Who Is this Book For?

This book is intended for anyone who has a Google My Business listing or those who want to rank locally in Google and want to be the best. While this book is geared towards the local results, the best practices we cover will also be relevant for organic results. Right now there are three types of results you typically see on the Google search engine results page. You will notice paid ad’s on the top and right of the screen. They will be marked with a yellow tag that says Ad. These advertisers pay for each click they receive. You will also see organic listings. These are free listings that show up before or after local results depending on your search query. Local results will be marked by the map marker.
