Die Schwarzweiss-Fotografie hat mich schon immer fasziniert, denn sie stellt andere Anforderungen an den Fotografen.
Der weltbekannte japanische Fotograf Hiroshi Sugimoto begründet sein Arbeiten mit der Schwarzweiss-Fotografie so:
Color is too simple (Farbe ist zu einfach).
Ich habe Spaß an der Fotografie und versuche Situationen im Bild festzuhalten, die Andere wohl nicht gesehen hätten.
Kubas Farbenpracht fasziniert jeden Betrachter und genau das war die Herausforderung.
