      This series had so much potential. Book 1 I would give 5 stars. I feel it steadily declined to 2/3 stars. Very laid back read. It's ashame it wasn't more cohesive in the characters other than the main, spoiled, Male, indecisive billionaire. Don't believe the description of the book other than book 1. Continuing with "Lexi" as the female lead would have been favorable than the detailing of the Male's other conquests. Book 1: 5 stars. Book 2: 3 stars. Book 3: 2 stars.

She was more impressed by his moves in the kitchen and on the barbecue than the size of his billfold. She had an ill daughter and he provided healing to both young Mae and her widowed mother. They had sex often and she was all he ever desired.

    Lexi owned a small business and with Shelby’s assistance, she grew Kaleidoscope into a very successful chain of boutiques. He was beginning to feel like a part of a family. Her daughters Lucy (16) and Mae (13) got along great with his boys Mason (17) and Wade (16). The kids grew up. Lexi and Shelby grew as well. They became best friends. They always would remain that way. The sex started happening less often and eventually it stopped. It had changed and it was o.k.

    Shelby’s relationship with Lexi coincided with his divorce from Maxine. There was blackmail and intrigue befitting an 80’s mini-series. Consumed by wealth and her societal status she involved one of his sex partners Janae. They had photos. They created a plan to use Shelby as some sort of puppet.

    Maxine broke down under the pressure of the whole thing. She did a stint in an institution. When she came out her fog her lover, Tommy Murphy the golf pro was waiting. She and Shelby divorced quietly. It cost him an enormous amount of money but he would recover. When asked about the divorce, the boys said, It is about time.

    Mason chose to study finance in Boston at college. Two years of numbers were enough and he changed his major to pre-med.
