About this ebook

There are many benefits to frugal living and minimalism. The first is that it helps to keep people from getting deep into debt. Many consumers make the mistake of living well beyond their means. When a person takes on a large debt burden, they are not financially independent. This can hurt one's chances of maintaining a good credit score. Minimalism helps to ensure that people have the essentials that they need and that no matter what happens, people will be provided for.

    Introduction

Being frugal is the act of being practical and wise when it comes to using various resources like money, food, time and it is usually done through waste avoidance and not indulging in too much luxury or extravagance. In other words, being frugal involves restraining or using of resources properly and with moderation for whatever goals set by a person. Being frugal has several advantages. One, the frugal person will be free from debts since he or she will be able to avoid them through right management and use of monetary resources. Two, the frugal person is able to save money so that there will be money to take out in case of emergencies. The person no longer has to borrow from other people or from the bank. Three, the frugal person will be able to avoid wasted resources whether food, money, time clothing, etc. This is because frugal living means being careful on how to spend these resources and making sure that the things he or she buys are really worthy of his or her time, money or is really useful for a practical period of time.

Now, if you are used to living in extravagance, it could be challenging for you to start living frugally. But considering the economic status nowadays, it is a must to save money and live frugally from now on. This book will give you various tips on how to start living in frugality.

Do not spend more than what you earn. Be wary of how much you are earning in a month and make sure that you are only spending less than what you earn.

Open a bank account or get a piggy bank. Extra money from your salary should be saved in piggy banks or bank accounts. These will be your savings and as time passes, it will grow. These savings are money that shouldn’t be spent as they are reserved for more important purposes.

Invest. To increase savings, invest your money whether on business, stock markets, etc. These will double the money you have, thereby increasing your savings. Just make sure that you are investing in a legitimate type of investment and you seek professional help so that your investment is guaranteed to reap great returns.

Cut out unnecessary monthly bills. If you have a cell phone and you use it most of the time when making calls as well as if you are not really at home most of the time, you can cut off your landline to save money. This goes to other unnecessary bills like cable TV, etc. especially if you don’t really use them and can
