Chapter One: Planting A Seed
Have you ever truly looked at an orchid? I mean, really stopped in awe of its structure? Of course, they are beautiful as a whole—timeless works of art that rival the diversity of the human condition and, perhaps not entirely by coincidence, embody so many of its exotic frailties. Is it any surprise then that mankind’s imagination has always been so intimately drawn to them, in all their enigmatic allure? The orchid beckons, she calls a siren’s song in light and color to bring even the proudest to their knees.
Each new specimen is an evolutionary marvel in its own right, striving for self-improvement in a roiling sea of competition while perpetually seeking that irresistible edge to rise above the crowd and secure its ultimate deflowering. Viewed across the eons, each obsessively reinvents itself with more vibrant sensuality, showier ruffles, or stronger, more enticing perfumes. Honestly, could there be anything more relatable?
From a shimmering spread of petals and sepals, a single delicate lip draws you in to its core, down a treacherous canal of sensitivity and unparalleled softness. At the end of the hunt and shielded from prying eyes, its treasure rests as a tightly wound button beneath a protective hood, so eagerly awaiting the eruption of its release. While some may require the persuasion of an expert touch to coax this gem into the light, others boldly display their essence to any and all who cross their path.
That said, I offer this single warning to anyone who might listen. Be wary of the man who has mastered the orchid’s secrets, because once he masters yours, your body may never again trust one
