About this ebook

** New Lower Price **

Erin is taking this cruise to the Bahamas for sand and sun. She's not looking for a man. She's content to remain in the shadow of her on-the-prowl friend. Erin certainly didn't expect to feel such a magnetic connection to Guntur, an Asian staffer on the ship. Flirtation turns to stolen moments in hidden corners of the ship. Even in ports of call, the two lovers have to be creative to fulfill their desires. Who needs a bed when you have this kind of attraction?

This short story is 13,000 words long and contains graphic descriptions of interracial sex between consenting adults.

    Welcome Aboard

    That is big!

    That’s what she said.

I nudge Andie. She giggles. That’s not what I meant, and she knows it. I’m talking about the cruise ship we are about to get on. It’s the size of a small town. Or maybe a not-so-small town. That thing must hold five thousand people. And we’re going to be on it for five days.

We drag our luggage through the concourse and up to the gangway. Smiling folks in clean white uniforms greet us. I’m instantly surprised by the racial diversity of the crew. These people must come from all over the world. I want to stop and talk, see where they’re from, but Andie pulls me forward.

Let’s get to the room and then get to the pool!

Okay, okay. I follow her through an enormous, multi-level lobby area, past overpriced jewelry shops and a convenience store that I swear is selling sodas for five dollars. One of a bank of glass-walled elevators takes us down to our deck.

Then we walk for a half-mile to get to our stateroom, one of the cheap interior rooms that doesn’t even have a porthole. But this trip isn’t about looking out the window at the water sliding by. For me, this trip is about sun and scenery and good food.

For Andie, it’s mostly about having sex.

You see, Andie just went through a tough break up with her longtime boyfriend. She took it kind of hard, so what she really wants is to hook up with a guy. We’ve always heard that’s what these Caribbean cruises are all about, and she signed us up.

I just hope the guy she finds has his own room, or else I’ll be playing more late-night blackjack in the casino than I can really afford.

There’s a cast-off party on the pool deck. Let’s go! Andie is already rummaging through her suitcase, looking for something to wear. I want to just rest, maybe read a book on a lounge chair and listen to the ocean. The flight down to Fort Lauderdale was early this morning. But I sigh and agree.

I swap out my travel jeans for a nice cool skirt. Andie decides to go all out, changing into her red one-piece swimsuit that has so many vents it doesn’t even look like it’s one piece anymore. Over that she wears a see-through blouse and a wraparound skirt.

How do I look? she asks.

Like a girl looking for a man, I say.

    She brightens. Good!

    * * * *

Deck Twelve has the biggest of the five pools, as well as views off the ship to port and starboard. The place is a madhouse. There are hundreds of people lining the portside railing, waving at I don’t know who back in Fort Lauderdale. There are hundreds more in and around the pool, swimming, dancing, drinking. The DJ for this extravaganza is playing the lowest common denominator of twenty-year-old pop music, and he’s playing it really loud.

I’ll get us some drinks, Andie says. I nod, and let her wander off.

I have an unglamorous, but extremely important job. I manage the cleaning staff of a major sports arena. It’s insane what that place looks like when the final scores are tallied and everyone
