The Bee Society - Georgie Bee
Fun
What’s it like to be a bee?
Find out from a Bee like No Other
, Georgie Bee!
Let’s face it: bees are often misunderstood. It’s a well-known fact that the world needs bees to pollinate the plants and flowers so we can all have food to eat. Without bees, just about everybody on this planet would find it very difficult to survive. Sadly, it seems that a lot of humans don’t realize how important our bee friends really are - or that bees aren’t just out to sting a bunch of people. The fact is, some humans seem to think that bees are nothing but pests.
Not true!
This book just might help convince you that honeybees and humans may share a lot more in common than we ever knew - and help to build greater understanding between our two species!
• A Note from the Author •
Hi. I’m Georgie. I’m a bee. I am the Official Ambassador and SpokesBee for The Bee Society. The bees in the Swarm have asked me to write this book to help everybody understand who we bees are and what life is like for us. I think you’re in for a surprise. This is the first book I’ve ever written. Hopefully, what I have to share will help clear up a bunch of confusion between Bees and Humans. I happen to beelieve that the more we understand one another, the better we’ll get along. And that’s a good thing, don’tcha’ think so? I do! Okay then.
Hope you enjoy my book!

Dedicated to my sweet Buttercup
...with special thanks to my human friends,
(you know who you are)
and to my friends in The Bee Society,
who also know who they are.
Meet Georgie
There are a lot of bees in The Bee Society. Unfortunately, most of them don’t speak human. That means I’m gonna’ hafta’ do all the talking here. I’m sure the Swarm won’t mind; in fact, they asked me to do it.
Beefore I introduce you to some of my bee friends (and a few acquaintances who aren’t bees), it would probably help if you got to know me.
Hello, everybody!
You’re probably wondering who I am. My name is Georgie A. Bee. You can just call me Georgie.
I am a honeybee, a European honeybee, to bee precise. As any of my friends will tell you, I am an exceedingly friendly bee. The fact is that, beesides beeing very peace-loving, I am a very enterprising, industrious, talented, perceptive, creative, trustworthy, intelligent, kind, optimistically-pessimistic, forgetful, reasonably attractive,
