This story jumped around a lot. It was like it was missing pages. Don't waste your time reading it.

Stopped reading after a few chapters. I think the author forgot that there are other nicknames. Every person says "my dear" from one sentence to the next.

    Very badly written

Poorly written, jumps from one thing to another and has little character development.

Ended too abruptly, just as the story was just starting

Are you kidding! This is a copy of another book I read that was more put together. This one can't even decide if it dragons or wolves. It is hurried, disjointed one leaves so many details out.

Not well thought out. Title says Dragon but later in the book they are wolves. Didn't make sense at all. Grammar and spell check were so off that it made it difficult to read.
If more time was taken actually fleshing out the story it could be ok. The concept was there but I feel like it was written in a hurry without any revision.

Inconsistent. First and 3rd person used interchangeably in areas. I can't tell if this was a book on dragons or werewolves, seems like the author changed their mind chapter to chapter. This needs editing and the story feels very rough.

A lot of inconsistencies in the storyline. Author keeps writing about wolves at one point instead of dragons. ?

Chapter 1 – The Meeting

It was the beginning of fall, and the leaves fell from the trees around her as she walked to her apartment building.  She shivered with the oncoming cold that was bound to rear its ugly head soon.  Adriana lived right outside the Washington D.C. lines in an upcoming town called Nokesville.  It was centrally located between two major towns of Manassas and Woodbridge.  She unlocked her apartment door and laid the pile of bills on the edge of her dining room table as she flopped her purse in the chair beside it with a loud thump.  First things first.  WINE!  After the day she had at the school, she needed it.  You see, she was a 9th-grade history teacher.

She knew she had to pack but procrastinated.  She was off the next two days to take a much-needed R&R in the Shenandoah’s.  Her friend Megan had told her to go out and have some fun.  She was a very socially incompetent person.  At the age of 24 she had a total of 2 boyfriends within her life and only one sex partner.  This could be the result of a childhood constantly spent moving and being swapped from place to place.  You see at the tender age of 5 she had become a child of the system.  Both her parents and she were the victims to a drunk driver on HWY 619.  She was the only survivor.  With no other family found she traveled from orphanage to foster homes and kept to herself.  Through dedication and determination, she graduated high school with honors and went on to take classes at Northern Virginia Community College.

She pulled up to a little one floor stone cabin and with relief she saw the porch light was left on.  As she made her way to the door, she felt a shiver run up her spine. Something wasn’t right.  There was a rustling in the bushes behind her.  Then on the other side.  Suddenly her fingers went numb, and she was all fumbling thumbs.  Unexpectedly the front door jerked open, and she was hauled across the threshold by the front of her shirt.  As the door slammed shut she spun around in time to connect her little right fist with the chest in front of her.  You weren’t raised in the system without picking up a few things.

Who the hell are you?  And what the hell do you think you are doing?  She stormed as she slowly raised her head and threw sparks at the bright blue eyes meeting her own with amusement.  Her eyes climbed up the wide expanse of chest enclosed in a flannel shirt that would have been impressive if she wasn’t so pissed off.  He had the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and the top three buttons were missing showing her an even more impressive display.  She was shaking with rage, shock, fear.  She didn’t know, but her teeth were going to start chattering.

Saving You.  Came the deep reply.

From what......Well never mind I’m saved.  You can leave now.  She knew she was being rude but something didn’t sit well.  She had the feeling that she needed to go back outside and face what was in the bushes.

I am Lucas.  The owner of the cabin and at your disposal. With a slight bow of his head and a grin on his face.

Well thank you, Lucas, for... according to you, rescuing me. But get out!  I did rent the cabin for four nights right?  She said hoping she didn’t mess up somewhere.  That would be embarrassing after being such a bitch.

No, you have it right.  It is rented through Sunday.  The bedroom is down that hall and to the left.  He said as she raised her eyebrows in a gesture of frustration.  He did not think she was going to go to bed with him, some stranger staying in the house.  And yes, I’m staying.  I have people all around guarding us.  You will be safe for tonight, but I’m not going anywhere.  She looked at him with wide eyes.  Was he serious?

Fine.  Then I will.  I will be expecting a refund for my stay since I won’t be staying here anymore.  Have a good day.  She said as she tried to skirt around him.  Of all the things to happen...  She was cut off short when she was pulled up to Lucas with his grip encircling her elbows and lifting her completely off the floor.  You’re not going anywhere.  You are staying here, and that is final.

That is Final! She sputtered.  Look here buddy, I don’t give a rat’s ass who you are.  I haven’t had a father in a long time and don’t need one now.  She yelled into his face.  LET ME DOWN!  She yelled louder.

He looked at her without flinching and set her back on her feet.  Go to the bedroom.  He said flatly.

Go to the bedroom?  What is this caveman?  Me Jane..... Go to room.....  Fine.  She was furious at this point.  He was blocking her only escape at the moment and hopefully the bedroom had a window she could crawl out of.

She walked into the bedroom and set her bag on the bed.  Shutting the door and realizing there was no lock she slid the little desk chair over to rest underneath the knob of the door.  She walked into the bathroom and turned on the faucet for some noise then walked over to the window and tried to push it up.  The window wouldn’t budge.  She tried again harder and still not a crack.  When the third time produced the same results, she realized the windows were nailed shut.  Of all the crazy shit in the world, what had she gotten herself into?  She flung
