Where Did My Life Go? A Towering Experience - K.D. Sanders
Reviews on A Towering Experience
K.D. worked at the famous Tower Records on Sunset Blvd, and this details some of his tribulations there. Not only do you get various stories about celebrities, who came into the store, but the fact K.D. was homeless and living in his van during this time period adds some personal drama to the story as well. It's not lengthy but it's well written and never gets boring. If you are a huge music fan or musician such as myself, or if you enjoy slice of life type stories, I think you should check this one out!"
I thoroughly enjoyed K.D. Sanders anecdotal account of the three years he spent working at Tower Records on the Sunset Strip in L.A. The author writes in an honest, relaxed and conversational style that reflects his carefree attitude and lifestyle.
I enjoyed the celebrity encounters, particularly the one with Steve Perry. Some are laugh-out-loud funny, like the one with Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue.
I look forward to the next installment in the author's memoirs. Beyond the interest in the iconic Tower Records and celebrity encounters, I want to know what happened next in the author's life, as his circumstances are left up in the air.

TOWERING EXPERIENCE
I applied at Tower Records on Sunset Boulevard after my band broke up. I really wanted to work there because it involved the love of my life, music. It was also located on the world famous Sunset Strip, a place I dreamed about going to since I was a teenager in the 80's to become a rock star. I no longer had a band and only had a couple more unemployment checks coming. I knew I had to get a job quickly because my income was about to come to an end. I had been waiting for a response from my application that I submitted to Tower over 2 months earlier. I didn't
