About this ebook
Sequel to Bear, Otter, and the Kid
Bear, Otter, and the Kid survived last summer with their hearts and souls intact. They’ve moved into the Green Monstrosity, and Bear is finally able to admit his love for the man who saved him from himself.
But that's not the end of their story. How could it be?
The boys find that life doesn’t stop just because they got their happily ever after. There’s still the custody battle for the Kid. The return of Otter’s parents. A first trip to a gay bar. The Kid goes to therapy, and Mrs. Paquinn decides that Bigfoot is real. Anna and Creed do… well, whatever it is Anna and Creed do. There are newfound jealousies, the return of old enemies, bad poetry, and misanthropic seagulls. And through it all, Bear struggles to understand his mother’s abandonment of him and his brother, only to delve deeper into their shared past. What he finds there will alter their lives forever and help him realize what it'll take to become who they're supposed to be.
Family is not always defined by blood. It’s defined by those who make us whole—those who make us who we are.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really, really liked this story. I love how in this book Bear seems to have gotten over some of his misgivings that rode him in the first book and has learned that “Nothing's too fast if it means forever.” This one also takes us further into some of the other relationships, not just Bear, Otter, and The Kid, but Anna, Creed, Mrs. Paquinn, the two sets of parents, and even Bear's evil mom. The memories of her are necessary because, as the book is titled, they influence who we are. Everyone was impacted by what she did before the events in book one. I probably hold the World Championship title for reading series out of order, but this is one that absolutely needs to be read in order. We even get some new characters that add to the drama of this sweet and sometimes, funny series. Everyone has a part to play in Bear and Otters HEA...and we have to remember that "it's not about where you come from. It's about who you are.” I don't usually include quotes from the book but this one just begs to be included. "I told him that we would grow old together, that I'd be there to make fun of him when he started to get fat and bald, when he'd get spots on his hands. I told him we'd build a little house by the beach, and we'd sit on the porch wrapped up in a blanket and that the world would pass us by and that it was okay. It was okay because we'd have lived it all already".
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5There HAS to be a Kid and Dominic story right?! I would have been fine with it ending before we found out about Kid crushing on Dom, but now I HAVE to know what happens cuz of course we know that Dom is gay or at least bi cuz of what he said to Bear when he was in his clubbing clothes!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book made me laugh and cry, but mostly laugh. The story continues were Bear, Otter, and the Kid left off. Very Heartfelt. Bear goes back to school, the kid skips a grade, and well Otter is Otter. A few new characters are introduced. My favorite is Dominic. Love the ending. Total crack-up.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5First of all if you haven't read Bear Otter and the Kid go read it, you need to.
Now on to Who We Are. I don't think I've read another book in a long time that affected me like this one did. I laughed uproariously one minute, and bawled my eyes out the next. From the very first word to the last, I was dragged in and totally involved in every aspect of each characters lives. The range of emotions that I experienced while reading this covered everything from shock, anger, righteous indignation, hilarity, sadness and love. Its all in this book. One of the best books I have read in a long time. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I want a Kid/Dominic sequel so bad! This series is amazing. I laughed so hard I cried, I sobbed my heart out... it's just wonderful.
All the stars!
