The title 50 events pre-empts a honest review. Written by an outsider, non-Indian, we cant expect more. Important usurps, valour and persons who struggled for Indian independence were left out e.g. the valour of Rani Lakshmibhai of Jhansi, the role of VO Chidambaram Pillai, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Lala Lajpat Rai and a host of people responsible the formation Benaras Hindu University were all left out. Tippu Sultan, the grandeur of Vijaya Nagar Empire, the French in Pondicherry etc. were completely left out, to say a few.
