    In the frozen north of Argosia, an unending war rages between Troll and Braevyn. Led by Kaya, the ageless, shape-shifting Braevyn bear a centuries-old hate for the Trolls who wrested the massive stone bluff called Winter's Peak from them and took it as their own long ago. This short story takes place in those troubled times when Kaya was a young Braevyn, telling of her adventures with the Troll Lokni and their choices that unwittingly bring about the downfall of her people.
