Introduction
The objective of this manual is to allow the reader to be able to use the variants of Heckler and Koch (HK) designed MP5 submachine guns (SMG) competently. The manual will give the reader background/specifications of the weapon, instructions on its operation, disassembly and assembly; proper firing procedure; and malfunction/misfire procedures. Operator level maintenance will also be detailed to allow the reader to understand and become competent in the use and maintenance of the MP5 SMG variants.

The MP5 Submachine Gun
The characteristics of the HK MP5 SMG:
A. Country of Origin: Germany
B. Military Designation: MP5 (with identifier codes)
C. Operation: Full, burst and/or semi-automatic fire
