Rebel: A Story of Government Tyranny and One Man’s Quest for Justice
By J.L. Savage
()
About this ebook
Jack Cordele’s world is shattered when government agents come knocking.
“Rebel” is the story of one man’s struggle to survive. Transported to a concentration camp and forced to memorize political gibberish at the point of a gun, Recruit Jack Cordele must adapt to an oppressive new world order, or die.
Rather than die or adapt, Jack rebels and becomes a one man army dedicated to the eradication of government tyranny.
“Rebel” is a political thriller and contains depictions of graphic violence that may not be suitable for younger readers. This is a “dystopian fiction” novella, and is not a novel length book.

Death eludes me.
I am the undead. An outsider. A fugitive. An insurgent. And a renegade.
They say I’m the kind of man who would sell his own mother up the river for a loaded gun, or offer her head on a platter in exchange for a ten second dance of Protectors pirouetting out of a burning vehicle. The rumors are true, but moot.
Mom is already dead.
She died in the fall of the fourth year of an unelected government. I was twenty-three years old the day the Protectors came, and stupid enough to believe their intentions were benevolent.
Come with us,
Chief Protector Filch Boris said and waved me out of the tiny apartment.
Mother sat slumped on the kitchen floor behind me, a spray of blood, brains, and bone spattered on the small window above the chipped porcelain sink like wet spaghetti. Her hands rested in lifeless repose to her sides.
