    Jennifer Kolby is a fairly young widow who is just trying to get through the day with her two teenage sons. She has an assortment of friends ranging from a respected doctor, a well meaning neighbor named ElNora, and friend and a guy she calls Cat Boy. When ElNora is found half beaten to death in a dumpster outside of Jennifer's apartment everything thinks at first that it is Jennifer. ElNora is wearing Jennifer's coat and had the hood up and Jennifer had left her date planner in the pocket when she gave the coat to ElNora when she was leaving Jennifer's apartment. Did the killer mean to kill Jennifer and just made a mistake? When the killer tries again and is somewhat more successful this time Jennifer is having severe memory problems. Can she remember what she needs to know before its too late? Is the killer someone close to her? Can either her sons or the two men who love her help her, or is one of them the would be killer?
