    “We form ungodly soul ties and get involved with ungodly people when we don’t acknowledge God in all our ways. This can and most likely will cause us to become vic-tims of domestic violence/abuse. God is the only One who can bring you out of an abusive relationship. Remember, when God bring you out, you will have wounds, that God will heal; allow God to totally heal you, BEFORE, you get into another relationship. Also, just because you are out of the relationship, does not mean, the relationship is out of you; but God will heal you, deliver you, and restore you.”

    The book is dedicated to all the women who have been abused in their relationships and to those who have not been abused; to those who have not been abused, this is a preventive manual, to help you not be abused – to those who have been abused and are not free from soul ties, this book can give you hope and show you how to heal. Through Dr. Hooks’ experiences, you will see how God brought her out of bondage, healed her, restored her, and today, she is allowing Him to have total control of her life.

    Always remember, no matter what, God is with you; you are not alone. Psalm 34:19 (KJV) tells you, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him, out of them all.”

Dr. Hooks is an Author, CEO/Founder and qualified Christian Counselor who specializes in abuse recovery for battered/abused women and their children in Lake County FL. She is also an overcomer by the grace of God from the bondage of domestic violence/abuse herself; so she can identify with abused women. Not only did God deliver Dr. Hooks from the bondage of domestic abuse but from childhood issues (abandonment, rejection, sexual assault, etc.) which caused her to become a co-dependent and allow herself to become a victim of domestic violence. Now, Dr. Hooks has been blessed by God with two organizations (The Lula McGrady Foundation, Inc. - a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit & Abused Woman Ministries, Inc.) which help abused women and their children recover from the bondage of domestic abuse.Dr. Hooks was recognized by the State of Florida’s Attorney General’s Office as a Designated Victim’s Advocate, has completed the State of Florida’s Foster Parent Training, is a Radio Personality, and Speaker. Dr. Hooks also conduct training workshops, group trainings, individual training sessions and counsel women via telephone/email domestically and internationally, to educate women on abuse and how to recover from it using her program, “Abused Woman Recovery Program” (AWRP).Dr. Hooks formed The Lula McGrady Foundation, Inc. and Abused Woman Ministries, Inc. in Lake County because of her goal to see people set free from bondage; especially, the bondage of domestic violence. She is passionate about helping the homeless, women of domestic violence and their children, divorced women, unwed teenage mothers, and teenage high school dropout girls.

      I thank God for allowing me to go through the trials and tribulations to obtain the wisdom and experience to write this book; to make me who God called me to be, and to fulfill my destiny.
