Reviews for Your Personal Book of Solo Fingerstyle Blues Guitar 2
2 ratings1 review
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Interesting; but the quality of writing isn't great and it doesn't really get to proper fingerstyle improvisation until the last fifth of the book. The tab is borked on one or two pages where it isn't rendered properly, at least on the Scribd platform. (Maybe this isn't a problem with the Kindle edition of the book - then again, maybe it is.)

Chapter TWO
Enriching Your Blues Playing
Utilizing open note and inversion chord allows us to have more fluent melodic progressions when playing music, and aurally to generate different acoustics.
Various Styles of Blues Rhythm
If classifying musical feelings of tempo for Blues rhythm, in addition to the most basic 'Shuffle' previously, there are still approximately four types basic tempo:
【Straight-four】
This is to turn the original one long and one short eighth note in Shuffle to a regular eighth note which is evenly distributed on the beat of an eighth note. That is, it is like a rhythm in which there is no dotted eighth notes in regular music.
In the two-voice performance demo below, we add thumb-slap technique of guitar to increase rhythmic feelings of this type. If you are not familiar with the thumb-slap technique, you may try to play it slowly or refer to the thumb-slap practice in a regular method book.
