Joseph Green pursued a dual career before retiring from NASA, 37 years in the American military and civilian space programs, while writing at nights and on weekends. His stories, many written—as was this one—with wife Patrice Milton, have appeared in the major science fiction magazines and numerous original anthologies. His five science fiction novels and an earlier collection of stories are available on Amazon and other e-book outlets. This story, "EasyEd" -- from his recent Wildside Press collection, Running Wild: Unfettered Stories of Imagination -- is typical of Joseph Green's work.
