About this ebook

Roughly seven hundred days ago I decided to write one poem per day until I would have one thousand poems in total. This is the seventh volume of ten, and the poems inside this one lean heavily towards the final dash of the 2016’s presidential race and the regrettable amount of terrorism that exist today. The content is not entirely sour and dry, I had few laughs here and there, and some thoughts on far more pleasant things. So give it read, pick a poem in random, it is free!

The following poems are included:

I write, I read, and the typos are still there. It is the crux of my life. Anyhow, my published works should not be overpriced and in some outlets you might be even able to set your own price!

One Hundred Poems, Volume VII - Tuomas Vainio

    The next hundred days

I wonder what the future brings to explore,

For we are living times that are hard to ignore,

The great statist experiment lies on a knife's edge,

A potential presidency is driving some off the ledge,

And I have a chance to write a hundred poems about it,

Will I write odes for freedom or curses filled with my spit?

All that anyone can do now is just to wait and see,

It all starts with a count of one, two, and three.

    Partisan Tech Giants

    Following the events of Orlando,

Search engine results weren't straight as arrow,

For I used them all to search for one specific twitter handle,

The results were cast in darkness without illumination of a single candle.

This situation has been reversed by now of course,

'@nero' leads directly to the twitter source.

    When will it happen next?

    I am forced to ask.

Or what of email filtered as spam,

In hopes of aiding another party's political program?

Although these tech giants have once earned the public's trust,

It is becoming clear that their moral standing is that of dust moved by a gust,

Which means that either it is regulation that enforces their impartiality,

Or they must be chopped up to produce a market of neutrality.

In their hands is a power that is not yet fully realized,

Their actions have not yet made them despised,

But eventually they will side with a despot,

And things will become truly desperate.

    We need regulation of impartiality,

Or at least a market of neutrality.

I say this to defend even my opponent,

If the situation was reversed in a mere moment.

Tech giants should never be partisan.

    An independence day

When victory was promised with glee,

And all in the bubble seemed to agree,

That alternative was impossible to see,

What a shock the result of a vote can be.

Markets of course had their little panic,

Because they cannot help but to feel frantic,

See any chicken and road as something gigantic,

Thus they need little time to feel positively galvanic.

Now other nations will want their own referendum,

I know that this is somewhat obvious to mention,

But you cannot ignore what is causing tension,

That will only make people more resentful.

Unelected bureaucrats with laws to impose.

What they wrought is misery and it shows,

Thus it is time to put this chapter to a close,

The union is an emperor without any clothes.

The desire for independence is growing by day,

Because the union's stagnation holds no sway,

Wishful thinking doesn't take problems away,

And as those pile – so vanish reasons to stay.

All I can do is wish happy independence day!

    #Shufflegate Exposed

It is narcissistic to think everything is about you,

It makes you think about things that are not true,

And hence explain why this shufflegate came to,

Because some thought it was an insult brand new,

And in hopes to gain some extra media
