    Under The Screaming Sky

    Chapter One

Darrel was twenty when his Elven mother passed over. Darrel’s Elven family said that she passed because of grief over his mortal father. His grandparents said that they could no longer look at him as part of the family because of his half Elven status. Thus began his exile to the mortal world. They say that the spheres of existence were as many and varied as the stars in the night sky,

Darrel guessed that was just a flight of fancy. His childhood friend, Shiraa was a guide to the portals that made up the string of spheres, Eleven, Fae, Mortal, and Immortal. He jumped up looking around. I considered making a meal of him, but he might be poison.

I tapped him on the shoulder and asked him to ,"move off my wing. he turned white as the snow. I remembered that I was invisible. He looked so funny I almost let him sweat but that would be impolite. I started to make myself visible but all I could do was sneeze. He must have jumped ten feet, I got to my feet and thanked him for moving he looked up and said, what manner of ghost are you". I said ,my name is Trill, a hatchling second class. I was so scared by what I overheard, that I forgot how to become visible again.

While we were going in circles I will fill you in on Shirra. She made her way back to the Elven sphere where she was determined to find out where Darrel was really going. It was a shock when Darrel’s grandfather said ,we exiled him to the Mortal sphere, and slammed
