J. Tomas is a pseudonym, I'll admit it up front, under which I publish gay YA fiction. I write gay erotic romance as J.M. Snyder and publish non-gay fiction, nonfiction, and poetry as J.T. Marie. You can email me at jtomas@j-tomas.net.So who am I? A writer, a reader, a poet. A video game nerd ~ I heart Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, and Legend of Zelda. A cat owner. A movie goer, music lover, boyband groupie. A queer author who remembers all too well the pains of high school, first love, and how it felt to ride the school bus when all the "cool" kids had their own car. Who knows what it's like to be different in a school of clones, to feel different, look different, act different.Who wants to put those feelings down on paper so others know they aren't alone.More specifically, I live in Virginia with two very spoiled cats. I have a day job that's not too bad, and I've always wanted to be a writer, so I write.

His Biggest Fan
By J. Tomas
My best friend Ross is the biggest Viral Blue fan boy I know. Seriously. We’ve been friends since elementary school and even then he listened to the band. They don’t exactly play the type of music most parents want their ten-year-olds listening to, but Ross’s older brother Timmy liked the Blue, and he’s the one who got Ross hooked.
Personally I’m not a fan, but don’t tell Ross I said that. I’d absolutely die if he knew the only reason I keep the latest VB CD in my car is for him. Even though we’ve heard it a million times, he always has to sing out loud to every song, turning up the volume a notch or two during his favorite parts, and he always has to tell me what front man Adam Blue meant when he wrote a particular verse. Ross should know—he studies the CD’s liner notes as intently as his teachers hope he’ll one day study for class.
Adam is the Blue’s lead singer and, if you ask me, the real reason Ross likes the group in the first place. If you ask him, though, he’ll count off the reasons on his fingers. One, they’re from Richmond, which is
