About this ebook
You could ask anyone from the older generations about the forgotten-values of newspapers and news in general. They all will tell you that journalism was a well-trusted profession, that opened the eyes of the population and was highly praised for that. Joel Landau, an experienced journalist and editor has noticed a shift in this area. Namely, when the people bought newspapers only they tended to trust the media in general, but now the case is not the same.
Joel Landau
Joel Landau is considered as one of the leading news respondents with many unique stories covered from all over the world. He studied at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick from 2001 to 2005 and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government. While he has still in college Joel Landau got his first job and started reporting for the National Law Journal, covering stories on latest criminal cases developments, researching technological advances and trends in the legal industry, and conducting research for the publication’s annual lists, like the NLJ 250 and the Plaintiff’s Hot List. Equipped with some experience, next Joel Landau was hired at a more serious position as the news editor in The Daily Targum where in the course of one year he was in charge of placing news content and stories, and led a team of eight editors along with their staff. In 2005, the same year when Joel Landau worked at the paper, The Targum was named "Best College Daily" in the nation at the Associated College Press Convention. From August 2005 to September 2006 he worked as a writer & editor at the Journal Register Company. Around that period, Joel Landau won second place in the NJPA Better Newspaper Contest’s Robert P. Kelly Award in my newspaper’s category. From 2006 to 2010, Joel Landau worked as staff writer for The Daily Journal where he regularly updated readers via the journal’s Twitter and Facebook platforms. His stories, articles, columns, and opinion pieces have been published on the paper’s website. During his time there he also wrote and covered stories on rural and urban beats, municipal and county government, schools, courts, businesses and police. In the period between 2011 and 2013, Joel Landau served as a reporter for the Press of Atlantic City, covering 50 different agencies, meetings and events in Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and Ocean counties. In October 2013 he joined the reporter staff in the acclaimed New York Daily News, mostly focusing on YouTube and other viral videos and stories.
