    Pronoun was commissioned as part of the 2014 National Theatre Connections Festival and premiered by youth theatres across the UK. Especially written for young actors, the play can be performed by a cast of seven, with some doubling of roles, or a much larger cast.

    Evan Placey is a Canadian-British playwright who grew up in Toronto and now lives in London, England.       The plot was gripping, there was a lovely mix of different styles of scenes, some very funny, the power dynamics are constantly shifting and it addresses important themes.

      As a trans person, there were some problematic parts but overall it was good, and some parts were really well captured. In the casting notes and stage directions you can definitely tell a cis man wrote this. I liked the comedic moments though.
