      Can you imagine living on an island where everything is related to Christmas? All the streets and stores are named after Christmas things. But the thing is that all the residents are seniors and they like it that way - living life at a slow pace without youngsters around (40-50-year-olds). But the mayor knows the little island can't survive on social security and pensions so they need to promote the island to attract vacationers and, hopefully, younger people to move there.Holly's grandfather bought the island many years ago and because his wife loved everything Christmas, he built Christmas Key for her. On top of the Christmas theme in the town, no cars are allowed on the island so everyone uses golf carts. They have a maximum speed of 12 MPH except for the police cart that can go 5 MPH faster.This is a cute story about Holly trying to make Christmas Key into a tourist destination. But not upsetting the locals while doing that. The seniors in this story say and do the darnedest things. I liked the descriptions of this beautiful spot not far from Key West, Florida. It made me want to visit.
