      All year, I had been able to escape the whole "I need to see the school nurse, like, now routine, unlike many of my fellow female classmates. Everyone knew exactly what that meant in middle school. Including all the cute boys who would stare down the girl who just got her visit from Aunt Flo as she took that long walk to the nurse’s office for her prepackaged menstruation kit" provided by the school.

      It was indeed the longest walk of shame. The very walk I feared like forever, the walk I was about to fall victim to. (More like Special Victims Unit, if you ask me.) These last 48 mins of class felt like I was on an episode of The First 48 and my white jeans were now a crime scene. Again, why did I have to wear white today?
