About this ebook
A man's lonely life is about to take a turn for the best and it could only happen...On Christmas Eve!
J. Martin Turner
I was raised by a single mother, born in Orlando having lived in South Jersey and the last several years in South Florida. After having attended the University of Florida as a Microbiology major, I took time off from school, moved home to South Florida, and started in the restaurant business. I decided to go back to school, majoring in forensic science and soon realized my love for writing and film. I then attended the University of Miami, dual enrolling as a Motion Pictures/English major with an emphasis on creative writing. I am divorced, have a daughter on the verge of teenager-hood, and thoroughly enjoyed my experience writing my first book, From Boy to Man: Memoirs of a Single Dad. In 2019, I completed my first fictional novel, The W.A.N.D. Epic - Book One: The Foretelling. I spent a year reworking it, editing it and now it is available for purchase and will be the first book in a five-book series of the W.A.N.D. Epic.

On Christmas Eve - J. Martin Turner
On Christmas Eve
I use to get excited for Christmas, especially Christmas Eve. In fact, it was my favorite night of the year. It is that one night where anticipation is so great that no one wants to go to sleep. Not the kids. Not the adults. Traditions are being held through and through. Families and friends get together for drinks and food and to share gifts, watch shows, and allow the restless children to tire their selves out so Santa would visit their homes. To me, it was the most magical time of the year. That changed fourteen years ago.
My daughter was four years old. She was just coming into the spirit of the holiday season. I loved getting her psyched up and ready to do all the fun things of the holidays, like decorating the house, going tree shopping and trimming the tree, watching all the television classics that would soon be aired. And I always got excited because the week before Thanksgiving, I was great at finding a radio station that would play Christmas music. It drove my wife nuts.
