    You and I take a journey on the most unordinary sidewalk who takes our two characters on an exciting adventure of discovery through Pleasant Forest where animals, insects, trees and a few other surprises await them. They begin their journey on Sidewalk after a backyard game of Tag n' Talk turns into the always adventurous game of Walk n' Talk. It's a mere hop, skip and a jump from the backyard down to the awaiting Sidewalk who takes You and I on their meandering journey under the cool canopy of pine trees, through moss covered forest floors where they pass unnoticed by forest residents such as mother bear and her two energetic cubs, a hive of busy bees, and a flock of flighty birds who are all simply going about their usual foresty business.

    Leanne Halling was born and raised in Southeast Washington State where she spent her childhood swimming and boating on the Columbia River, under the blazing sun, darting rattlesnakes on walks through sage brush laden trails and picking luscious concord grapes fresh off the vine. Childhood soon turned to teen-hood - teen-hood to adulthood when Leanne settled on the opposite side of the Cascade Mountains in the beautiful Willamette Valley in the state of Oregon. Though as a hobby she enjoyed writing throughout the "hoods", it wasn't until 2009 that Leanne began to actively pursue a writing career. Having worked with children since 1997 Leanne was inspired to focus her writing on children's literature. To that end she studied children's writing under the guidance of a private tutor with Institute for Children's Literature. Leanne currently resides in Oregon where she continues to pursue her career as a children's book author.
