Raising Daughters - John S. Roberts
Introduction
This book contains proven steps and strategies on how you should raise your daughter so that she will eventually become independent, smart, hardworking, and—most importantly—always confident in herself and in her ability.
Have you wondered if you're making the right decisions when it comes to raising your daughter? Over the last years, there has been a lot of confusion about the role of girls and boys. It's easy to see why parents are left with lots of unanswered questions when they're raising their children.
Raising a daughter is no easy task, especially with so many outside influences that threaten to instill in girls beliefs that could prevent them from having—much less achieving—dreams that are truly worthwhile. Thus, among our responsibilities as parents are continually showing our daughters the way to true success in life and reminding them to focus on what’s really important and not be obsessed with trying to conform to the world’s ever-changing standards of beauty.
Lastly, to borrow the message in that popular song, our daughters are beautiful in every single way and no matter what other people say. They should therefore learn to be confident because they are already beautiful and so have no need to prove themselves for others’ satisfaction.

Not Just Princesses
––––––––
Our daughters are indeed the proverbial embodiment of sugar, spice, and everything nice—and more. That’s why we, as parents, need to totally commit ourselves to making sure our little princesses will grow up happy, healthy, and as safe as possible from all the nasty things around us. We should also help them grow up with the inner strength they need to take on bigger challenges on their own. In other words, they should be princesses who are warriors as well (Think Wonder Woman and Xena—and to a slightly lesser extent, Leia Organa from the Star Wars films.).
