      BUMMER, sure wished I read the other books in the series as now Susan Sheehey is NOW one of my favorite authors and I'm dying to read more of her books! What's not to love about Vaughn Ayers a white man with the soul of a Latino and I want to be dipped over his arm as well. Vaughn showed is compassion to a buddy who was seasick as they were some of the crew on the cruise ship. A passenger made them a deal to become Knights in Texas and they could more much more than what the cruise ship paid. He was on his first mission to look or a lady in a grey dress and to be her escort for the auction. Once the lights went off the bidding stopped and a fire alarm rent the silence leaving him looking for Caroline Lake the woman he knew from high school only then she was Cora Castillo. I liked Cora from the very first and found her "work" refreshing!
