Begin with Christ Companion Journal - Adrienna D Turner
Introduction
Congratulations, today you will be starting your 50-day companion journal that will lead you down your spiritual path with God. Begin your Day with Christ is designed to build a closer relationship with God, where you let your Day Begin with Jesus Christ.
This JOURNAL will not only explain God’s plan for your life but also how you will grow as a believer day-to-day. It will challenge your personal relationship with God with daily activities, questions, and review portions that will strengthen you not only as a Christian but will direct your path to God’s will for your life.
This is a daily inspirational, meditation JOURNAL to gain divine wisdom from God’s Holy Word. I prefer you to view this journal as a resource tool to get you to dedicate and devote your spiritual walk to Christ (and companion journal for the nonfictional book Begin with Christ).
Please be prepared to grab a fancy journal, or notebook, or type on your tablet/computer for daily journaling.
BEGIN DAY 1
~Let your Day Begin with Christ~
Let your Day Begin Activity:
By following God’s Ten Commandments, we need to reflect on how we can spend more time alone with God. Jesus informs us through His message, "if you love me, you will follow my commandments." Do we need to forgive someone to move forward with God’s plans and focus on our walk with God?
Make a list of those who you need to forgive, and do it to release your burdens into God’s hands. (Write in your journal).
Second, assign one day of the week to set aside to spend time with God, by turning off the television, radio, and computer to spend time with Him. Reflect on His Word and promises, even if it is praying, meditating, reading the Bible, or reading another devotional book(s). Keep your focus on loving God, spend at least one hour with God on this day of your choice. Make God first and do not interrupt His time.
Today’s Questions:
What laws are we commanded by God to follow?
Read Matthew 22:37-40; Mark 12:28-33; Romans 13:8-10; Galatians 5:14; John 14:15, 21, 23; Leviticus 19:18; Deuteronomy 6:5; 10-12; 30:6.
Review to Begin your Day with Christ:
The two greatest commandments are to love the Lord and to love your neighbor: Do we fulfill God’s ultimate law of love?
If not, write down some ways we can change and things we can do to fulfill God’s law of love.
If we are, do we share God’s Word with others? Write down some creative ways you can share God’s word. God also commands us to make disciples of Jesus Christ; however, we have to become disciples first before spreading the message to others. [My upcoming 4-part series book entitled Vessel 4 Christ discusses friendship, discipleship, leadership, and fellowship.]
We can look at prophets such as
Job (Job 1:20-22);
David (Psalm 27:4; 63:1, 8);
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Daniel 3:16-18).
We will recognize them as those who followed God no matter what their circumstances were.
Are we willing to do the same as these prophets in the Bible? It helps to see that other people deal with problems, too.
Are you willing to make sacrifices to please Jesus Christ despite man’s laws even if it can cost your precious life? What were the hard things that happened to those people? Write some of them down and put yourself in those situations. How do you respond to each?
BEGIN DAY 2
~Let your Day Begin with Christ~
Let your Day Begin Activity:
God requires us to worship Him. He is our Creator. He is a Jealous God. Write down different forms of worship. How can you worship, and at the
