About this ebook
This fascinating book, filled with detailed artwork and contemporary photographs, tells the story of this aircraft, including the political infighting at the top of the Luftwaffe's hierarchy that stymied its development, its radical technical design and its state-of-the-art weaponry.

Reviews for Heinkel He 177 Units of World War 2
2 ratings1 review
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The HE-177 did not share the "popularity" in books
as did the JU-88 and HE-111.
Ungainly in appearance on the ground, beset with
engine fires it also seemed to be easily shot down
despite having adequate armament. ( no fighter
escort)
Without having been perfected, it was projected to
be used for long range recon ( OK ) dive bombing
and a torpedo carrier.
One of its successes was launching "guided" missiles
at ships - over 1000 GIs lost their lives to the HE-177.
Many very detailed photos and color prints - excellent
coverage.
