      Introduction

      The music industry is experiencing a huge boom now, almost more than it has experienced in times past. A lot of people are leveraging this boom to earn a living for themselves. There are music producers who are producing tracks; there are video producers who are making videos for these tracks, and there are music marketers, promoters, DJs, etc. These people are all leveraging the music industry to make a living for themselves.

      In one of my books, I talked extensively about how to make a living as a music producer. In this one, I want to narrow the information to how you can make a living as a music video producer. Just as there are endless opportunities for the music producer to make money, there are also lots and lots of opportunities available to you as a music video producer to make money too. These days, every artist wants a video for their track. This means that there is a huge market already waiting to be tapped. And with the vast proliferation of technology, setting up your own video production company has become more and more simple. Even if you want to work as a solo producer, you still have a huge market.

      Again, just the same way that anyone with a computer can now be a music producer, the wide availability of digital cameras have made it possible for just anyone with a camera and a computer to become a music video producer. But the question is, "how many people are really making money producing videos?" Producing music videos for your high school friends and actually making a substantial living off video production are two different things, and that’s where you need all the guidance you could get.

      Earning a living as a music video producer has more to do with other aspects such as marketing and branding than it has to do with the actual craft. Now, if you know all these things that go into the game, you can earn a living for yourself as a video producer. In this eBook, I am going to take you by the hand and show you all you need to know to earn a living as a music video producer. Without much ado, let’s get started.

      Chapter One: Are you ready?

      I know you are reading this book because you want to learn how to earn money as a video producer. So, you want me to jump right in and start dishing out the different ways of making money as a video producer. But I am going to disappoint you. I won’t follow that sequence – I want to take the subject matter from the ground up. Doing otherwise will be like putting the cart before the horse.

      First things first!

      Do you even know what it means to be a video producer? I know this question sounds weird and hilarious judging from the fact that you are reading this book because you are already a video producer. However, I am still throwing the question to you – do you know what it really means to be a video producer? Your answer to this question will determine if you are going to make money
