About this ebook

A city of fear and violence and deaths. For some, the only sanctuary are childhood games in derelict homes. The disused pathway offers a shortcut home for them, a light from the furnace room triggering their curiosity and peek through the door. Soon they're running, the football and lighter left behind, clues to who they are, and must be found before they can talk.

Now teenagers, they'd grown together experiencing the joys and sadness of having to grow up too quickly, too soon, in the madness that has engulfed the city, normality a thing of the past now. Inseparable, sharing more than most, their camaraderie without question but two of them share a secret. They tried to save the life of a British soldier and can never let it be known.

Witnesses will transfer you to a time and place that the author grew up in, keeping you there until the very last word of an epic saga. To a conflict within a war, where gangsters control arenas without compassion. Swift and ruthless in their actions, both judge and jury. It's the beginning of a story that spans three decades through the passage of adolescence to adulthood. From the Innocence of youth, love, violence, murder, tragedy, and revenge.

Seb Larkin

Talking about the 30-year war that I grew up in, isn't something I do, and never saw the need to tell aspects of that part of my life to people, but recovering a book I'd packed away in an old holdall, went through it bit by bit, analysing the chronicle of emotions, memories, and history.  A story I began in 2010. The pain and truth concealed within the pages. The trauma in the words of what I had witnessed; compelling me to write about that war albeit through a fictional trilogy. That diary became the blueprint for 'The Killing Streets.' We were just kids when that war came, bringing its bombs, bullets and badness. Creating deaths and sadness; producing witnesses, and more, much more. .
