    Wanda A Eastham

    Wanda A. Eastham always dreamed of being an artist.  She lived in an extended household with grandparents who were immigrants from Poland.  Her parents worked in mills, had minimal education and provided the best that they could.  Encouraged by an uncle who took evening art classes and played musical instruments, Wanda spent time watching and absorbing the creative side of life.   When it was time for college, a career in teaching became an affordable option.  Wanda graduated with an Ed. B in Education from Rhode Island College. A wise principal and a college professor encouraged her to take graduate courses in the Art field leading her into the next phase of life.   Wanda became a professional potter, eventually creating vessels for churches across the globe.  The event that changed her life and led to this collection of poems and stories happened in 1973. Wanda, and her husband Tom, received the laying on of hands for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.  The Catholic Charismatic Renewal opened the door to relationship with the Trinity. For 5 years Wanda taught in a Spirit-Filled school where she experienced the functioning of the Kingdom of God.   As a Catholic, Wanda had not been versed in scripture. As she grew in the Lord she would hear the Spirit within her speak in verse or prose.  She would open scripture and the Lord’s words would confirm what she had heard.   Some of those thirty plus years of daily journal writings are being shared with readers of this book.    Wanda is starting work on her second book, A Child of God……Gathers, where the personal witness and the witness of others will lead you into the heart of the Holy Spirit. “Abba” is Almighty, Jesus is Lord, and the Holy Spirit is Creative Life.  The story continues….

      INTRODUCTION

      On January 22, 1973 hands of prayer were placed upon me to receive the fullness of

      Life in the Holy Spirit.

      I gave my life to the creative, serendipitous power of God. My life changed.

      My life did not get easier. The normal difficulties of life continued, but my life has been filled with adventure, experiences and joy. This book is but a glimpse.

      I am a Child of God, as are you, if Jesus Christ is your Savior. I am an only child with Jesus as my brother. I have been a teacher of children all the while being taught by The Teacher. I have been a potter of vessels while being clay in God’s hands. I am an artist imitating the wonders of God. I am empty, yet full of truth, confidence, and trust. I am part of the great I AM.

      Above all God is in these words.

      I pray you find them and they find you.

      PREFACE

      To gain the most from this book read a little at a time asking the Holy Spirit to reveal His treasures of truth. He knows YOU, understands YOU, and knows your needs.

      Open your spirit, soul, and mind to receive, ponder, reflect and then inspire others.

      There are times I am speaking as the Holy Spirit inspires me to pray, or praise. At other times He is instructing or speaking to me and I pen His words. I share these conversations with you.

      In either case God is present to speak to your heart, to refresh or instruct your spirit.

      Let me open a file of words for you

      Heard and written down,

      Placed in folders within my heart

      Until by you this was found.

      The Spirit spoke and I in obedience wrote

      This book one day to place

      Into your hands to reveal His Heart

      As the Hound of Heaven, you lovingly does chase.

      May these words make you hungry

      To find your own way

      To seek His Holy Presence.

      Revealing His Loving Essence.

      Allow me to tell you the history of the Praising Christian Cross and what it symbolizes.

      This teaching and design came to me many years ago during a Morning Prayer Time. The Lord convinced me not to run from the crosses of my life. He taught me to first Praise Jesus for all situations and to walk through the center of problems requesting the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

      This symbol became the copyrighted logo of my company

      The Praising Christian Cross symbolizes the fact that ‘Jesus is no longer on the cross’. When YOU wear this cross ask, Whose flesh do you see? Your flesh is seen through the opening because Jesus has completed His Father’s instructions and it’s our turn now. Our flesh is seen in the Dove, symbolizing the fact that the Holy Spirit resides within us granting each of us the Power of God.

      As we acknowledge His Love we act in His Name.

      Tell the story of the Good News of His Love and Salvation to all who ask about this symbol that you wear.

      I Pray that serendipitous adventures of the Holy Spirit be your gift as you wear this original cross and witness to His Love.

      In the last 35 years of Fellowship with the Father of us all,

      with the Son and Savior of the world,

      and with the Holy Spirit of God,

      In the quiet time of listening to a Still Small Voice,

      of being aware of a Greater Love,
