About this ebook

This book reflects Onyx's many deep, intimate and personal thoughts and is definitely not a book for the weak at heart! Each poem is filled with passion and clearly invites the reader to take a glance at his thoughts, without compromising one's own interpretation. It is very suggestive, compelling and refreshingly explicit. An open-mind and parental discretion is advised.

Onyx Pen Drygon

  Being the youngest born to a family of five, Onyx suffered the lost of his mother at the age of four.  His father, a touring musician at the time, provided for his family financially, as one of his sisters stepped in to fill the equally vital role of guardian/mother.  Onyx would often cry out and ask his brothers and sisters for their mother's return…but they themselves, overcome with confusion and overwhelming emotions, could not offer an explanation that would stop the questions or pacify a child's longing for his mother.     Becoming introverted, Onyx eventually turned to poetry as a means of escape from his grim reality, but also found glimpses of his mother there.  Words are powerful and transforming.  They can provide light in the darkest of caves or cradle one to the arms of death…Onyx hopes for us to view poetry as a beautiful gift, which allows us to find ourselves and inspire others along the way.

    Uncanny - Onyx Pen Drygon

    A Seed of Friendship

    Over and under, yonder so,

    Beneath the earth, in soil, doth grow.

    With drops of rain and sunlight through,

    To bring forth life from death, anew.

    A pot of pleasure, a pinch of rain,

    A heart that heals the world again.

    Sincerity and staunch, through and through,

    To give what may, come back to you.

    A Hidden Confession

    There is a place that is so great,

    A place for love, no room for hate.

    The love of a couple continues to thrive.

    The passion they share keeps them alive.

    In this place, you’ll be content

    And love the way your time is spent.

    For those who come, don’t ever complain.

    The feelings they share will always remain.

    To find this place you must let your heart talk

    And travel the path that lovers walk.

    To take a chance and trust in me;

    Only then you’ll find, my love for thee.

    A Poet’s Pen

    Well … here we are again,

    Your slender body engulfed by the warm embrace of my staunch.

    Your perfectly proportioned frame, poised with anticipation …

    You await my lead

    As though we’re dancers locked in an ever increasing trance …

    Our bodies pressed together as we effortlessly glide along the riverside.

    Or maybe like angels flying through the vast firmament at night,

    Sharing sultry kisses between the moon and dim lit stars.

    We’ve always known who we are …

    Where we are …

    Why we are …

    We exist to fulfill our purpose

    And at the end of each story,

    We loose a little piece of ourselves,

    A little ink, a little soul … a little life.

    But it’s worth it…

    My happy ending!

    Am I Persuaded?

    Bless me with your tender voice.

    Speak to me at night;

    Let me be your only choice.

    Keep me in your sight.

    Touch me with your gentle hands.

    Claim of me what’s yours.

    Travel this uncharted land.

    Enjoy these private tours.

    Place your lips upon me;

    Taste with sweet delight.

    Blow your breath intensely.

    Yield with all your might.

    Bid me passage further,

    To pick a single rose;

    For there shall be no murder

    Your thorns shall not oppose.

    Lay loose, my open flower.

    This cloud shall rain on you.

    And when
