    What Is Passive Income?

    It was not until I discovered this thing called ’’passive income’’ that everything changed. To be honest, at first I thought it was just another money-making scam, however, even though I did not really believe any of it, I still decided to give it a shot. And trust me when I say this: IT WAS WORTH IT. At that time, there was no one in the world that could possibly convince me that you could earn money for months and even for years while sitting on a beach somewhere.

    Passive income has provided everything that I ever wanted and needed. I’m aware of the fact that money does not make you happy; however, money gives you freedom. It gives you the freedom to do anything you desire. It gives you the freedom to spend your time on what is important to you. It gives you the freedom to be with your loved ones. Yes, money alone does not make you happy but all the things you are able to do when being financially free, that is going to make you happy.

    I’m guessing that you purchased this because you are in a situation similar to the one I was in years ago. If that is correct, it means you have come to right place my friend. If passive income sounds too good to be true or if it sounds like another internet scam, I understand. As mentioned earlier, that is exactly what I thought about it at first sight. However, I gave it a shot and that got me to where I am today. Now it is up to you. Do you want to live the rest of your life working like a slave for someone else or do you want to make the decision to change your life forever right now?

    Without any further ado, let me explain to you what passive income really is.

    Imagine you’ve been given some fruit seeds. If they are anything other than apple seeds you can make a crunchy snack out of them and enjoy it. However, you think a bit differently. Instead of consuming these grains right away you feel about sowing them. As days bleed into weeks and months, you nurture them.

    In the beginning, nothing noticeable happens. You begin to wonder if all the effort and time you’ve spent nurturing the seeds in the scorching sun has been in vain. Despite lugging water and feeding the seeds necessary nutrients, they seem to soak everything and vanish.

    You continue watering and feeding them for days and weeks. Then, something magical happens. Overnight, you see a small growth in the form of a tiny seedling. You are encouraged to keep going after witnessing small yet sure results. By now you’ve realized that if you continue doing what you’d been doing, your seeds will grow slowly yet steadily. It takes months (or years), and one day the small, insignificant-looking seed transforms into a fruit-giving tree.

    You eat the beautiful fruits you’ve harvested and then get even more seeds from its center. So what do you do with these seeds? You decide to plant them so you can enjoy even more fruit trees and fruits. The cycle continues until finally, you’ve created a verdant forest of trees that produce delicious fruits. There are now enough fruits to last your family for the next couple of years, and eventually a lifetime.

    This is a powerful illustration of passive income. You plant something, nurture it for a few months/years, plant even more from the returns derived from it, and eventually reap its benefits for a lifetime.

    Passive income has become the buzzword in both the online and offline entrepreneurship domain. Everyone wants their slice of the lucrative submissive income pie, but few care to understand the concept or its virtues.

    When you work a regular job or traditional business, you invest 8 hours of time and efforts to earn wages that are equivalent to those 8 hours. Given that a day has only 24 hours, if you are trading time for money, you just cannot earn wages for more than 24/hours a day. If you get paid $20/hour, your daily income potential cannot exceed 24*20 or $480, assuming you work 24 hours, which is humanly impossible.

    There is apparently a smarter way to this like a lot of people are discovering around the world.

    Let us look at leveraging your time and efforts by launching an online passive income enterprise. You invest say 40 hours writing, designing, and marketing your eBook. Each time the book is sold, you earn a percentage of the sale as royalty.

    In passive income, instead of being paid just once in proportion to the number of hours you’ve put in, you continue to earn revenue indefinitely for creating something of value. Author Stephen King spent some months writing The Shining about four decades ago. However, he still gets paid for each copy that’s sold. He created immense value that people seek till date.

    This means even if you work for 40 hours, your income potential can be virtually limitless. You can make $4000 or even $40,000 despite working for 40 hours because here you aren’t trading time for money. Your revenue is dependent on the number of units sold for a single product you’ve created just once.

    Work just once to create a valuable product and keep reaping its benefits for a lifetime. This is the real power of passive income. Instead of trading a fixed number of hours for profit that is equivalent to those hours, you leverage your time and efforts by purchasing a set number of occasions for a lifetime of revenues that is way more in proportion to the time invested in creating that income.

    When you leverage efforts by outsourcing tasks and get three people to work at $10/hour for 5 hours for seven days, you spend $1050. However, you’ve freed up your time to utilize it in other money-making tasks simultaneously.

    You’ve worked out an ingenious arrangement to get much more out of the limited hours available to you by outsourcing tasks. This way you are getting more number of people to put in efforts within the limited time to boost results exponentially.

    Some people have all the money in the world but not enough time to enjoy their wealth. Still, others have all the time in the world but not enough money to enjoy their time. Real financial freedom comes when you have both – the money and time freedom to enjoy your life. Earning real economic freedom with passive income is possible.
