Beschreibung

The contents of this book are the meanderings of a man whose mind never stops, always filled with thoughts that come from all angles,a mind that can suddenly drift into the darkness of
depression and wander through the twilight and back into the realms of normality, whatever that is,
and when these thoughts appear they have to be written down, some are meaningfull, some are quite pointless, but written down they are,the title of this book if allowed is borrowed from a song
by Bob Dylan, hope he doesn't mind,

a Brighter Life

by Tony Martin on Apr 19. © TONY MARTIN, All rights reserved

It should have ended

but still it drags on,filled with silence,

CRUSHING,

waiting for the dawn,

the pressure eases

darkness begins to fade

BREATHE EASY

as the light breaks through the shade.

A new day drifts by

floating in with the dew

bringing release from the nightmares

since losing you.

The warmth from the sun

disguises the heartfelt anguish,

CRUSHING,

waiting,for the reason,

longing for the truth

to explain the treason

that feeds the nightmares

that linger through the darkness

long into the dawn.

As the daylight progresses once more towards the torment

of self induced torture,

trying to release you from the love

only I could feel,

slowly the night approaches

once again drifting into the darkness

CRUSHING,

waiting for the nightmare’s return.

The night’s grow longer as the years pass by,

sometimes the feelings grow weaker

as the nightmare begins,

holding on to a dream

through life’s tormented sins,

DEEPER,DEEPER,

the nightmare grips my mind

replaying your words on that cold dark night

when your heart became unkind.

Destroying plans

for a future full of promise and hope

were we too young?

not experienced enough to cope?.

So now I must decide

the time has come to let go

to release you from the promise you made

all those years ago,

nightmares in the darkness of despair

reliving the pain of a love so deep

you could not share.

Now the night is over

dawn rolls in with the dew,

decision is made

ending the torment of a promise spoken by you.

Pleasant dreams now

from this day,

will fill the night with
